The purpose of this qualification is to provide current and prospective operations managers with theoretical knowledge to manage effectively and efficiently within an operational environment, and to provide input up to a strategic level within such an environment. This will be achieved by providing enough theoretical knowledge and by providing opportunities, both in the learning environment and in the assessment process, to demonstrate the application of this knowledge within a business context. This knowledge and skill will be assessed at a level consistent with the level descriptors defined in an academic context, but the student must be able to demonstrate and describe the practical application of this knowledge where appropriate.

Upon successful completion of the qualification, you will receive a certificate depicting: Bachelor of Commerce in Operations Management. The student will also receive an academic transcript and a completion letter. These documents will be issued at one of the two graduation ceremonies, couriered to the nearest branch or posted to you (after the official ceremony), provided that your account is in order.
NB: Certificates cannot be issued to students before an official graduation ceremony.
Lyceum applies the following minimum entry requirements for entry into the Bachelor of Commerce:
To enrol for the Bachelor of Commerce (Cost and Management Accounting/Financial Accounting) you need an Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 38, as well as four subjects from the designated list and a pass in Mathematics on at least level 5 (60 69 %).
A student with the above APS meets the minimum admission requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce (Cost and Management Accounting/Financial Accounting) programme.
In addition to the minimum APS requirement, additional subject requirements have been set. These include:
Students who have not completed Accounting at NQF level 4 (Senior Certificate/matric) will be required to complete Introduction to Finance offered at Lyceum, as a bridging course.
